After breakfast, embark on a full-day Pahalgam valley tour. After breakfast, check-out and drive to Sonmarg (170 km, approx. 5 hours) - the 'Meadow of Gold'. Located at an altitude of 9,000 feet, Sonmarg is known for its glacier views and alpine beauty. Visit the famous Thajiwas Glacier - hire a pony (at own cost) or trek through the meadows to get closer to the glacier. The views are absolutely breathtaking with snow-capped peaks and wildflowers (summer). After spending quality time in Sonmarg, drive back to Srinagar (80 km, 2.5 hours). Kashmir truly is paradise on earth! Our houseboat stay on Dal Lake was incredibly romantic - waking up to mountain reflections on the water was surreal. The Shikara ride at sunset was magical. Gulmarg Gondola offered breathtaking views - the snow-covered peaks were spectacular. Pahalgam's Betaab Valley was like a dream with its lush meadows. The Wazwan dinner was delicious - mutton rogan josh and gustaba were amazing! Our guide was knowledgeable and the driver very friendly. Destiny Yatra planned everything perfectly. Best honeymoon ever!
What an incredible trip! We traveled with kids and parents - everyone enjoyed thoroughly. The snow in Gulmarg was perfect for skiing and sledding. Kids loved the Gondola ride and building snowmen. Mughal Gardens were beautiful even in winter. Sonmarg's Thajiwas Glacier trek on ponies was adventurous. The houseboat experience was unique. Kashmiri people are very warm and hospitable. Only suggestion - carry heavy woolens in winter, it gets very cold! Excellent planning by Destiny Yatra. Highly recommended!
Kashmir exceeded all our expectations! The natural beauty is unmatched - every turn offers a postcard view. Dal Lake houseboats are a must-experience. Nishat and Shalimar Bagh are architectural marvels. Gulmarg Gondola Phase 2 to Apharwat Peak was worth the extra cost - 360° Himalayan views! Pahalgam is pristine and peaceful.
